- Robert SWonderful place to stay. We stayed in house no 1. The terraces have panoramic views of the lake and you are only a 2 minute walk from a quiet public beach. The house was well equipped and the aircon in the bedroom was a delight. Giovanni is an exceptional host. He made us delicious spritz, loaned me an electric mountain bike for a stunning trip up the mountain and also took us on a special tour ( I won’t spoil the surprise). Bellano itself was a great base. It had a train station that links directly to Milan. It is a quiet town and isn’t heaving with tourists like Varenna and Bellagio. It is a relaxing place to sit at a cafe and watch locals go about their lives. Prices in the cafes also reflect this. Remember the whole area is very hilly. Most houses have steps and hills to access them from the road. This house is no exception.
- David HCastle Suite 1 - a home away from home – a place where Lake Como dreams become reality. As soon as your feet step onto the property, you instantly create memories of a lifetime. You’ll be treated to stunning panoramic views, a house that’s elegantly decorated with original paintings, wood floors, marble floors, marble bathrooms, a kitchen, living room, and 4 terraces. You can’t help but be entranced with the romance of Como. But by far- the best part of our trip was meeting the owner, Giovanni. Giovanni instantly makes you feel like family. He loves to host and greets you with a light snack and THE BEST APEROL SPRITZ (ever). He warmly shows you around the garden/herb garden, terraces, and house. We quickly bonded over cooking and if you are lucky enough to be there on a weekend, you are in for a treat!! He may prepare a classic Italian dinner (spices from the garden and all)! We cooked two of the nights, and Giovanni provided us with his homemade rub (with herbs from the garden) fo...
- M-A N(Translated by Google) Extraordinary 3-night stay at Giovanni's at Suitecastlelakeview 1. Large apartment on 2 levels with magnificent views of the lake, large and spacious rooms decorated in castle style (very good quality furniture and lighting - what I preferred was curiously the magnificent floor and the "Alice in Wonderland" style entrance door), very clean (and it's a feat given the many decorations). Giovanni is a host as extraordinary as his house, very accommodating (we were 2 families of 3 people: he arranged the rooms for us so that there could be 3 per room), hospitality and overflowing kindness. His welcome Spritz was just like him, excellent! Always wanting to please and make you feel good in this place full of life (advice on restaurants, supermarket in the area, visits...). We also tested his cooking skills: vegetable flan with homemade pesto, lasagna, pork medallion with green pepper and port sauce, tiramisu, all for €28; a real treat, especially since everything is...
